| What is the point of blogging? Why does one find himself/ herself inadequate if he or she does not write a blog? Personally, I see no point in blogging, but since it is required for my English class, I have no choice but to do it. I was never the type of person that liked to share my personal information with people, let alone online. Although, I may have a page on myspace and facebook that I use, it is merely used to keep in contact with my friends from school. There is a fine line that I will not cross just to let people know who I am. In my opinion, I just don’t think that it is wise to leak out personally information online about yourself like some bloggers do, because you just might not know who you may encounter with. There are many people who may be reading this that may disagree with me on the fact that they think that people should blog, for example, Alex Chernavsky thinks that people should blog because you meet interesting people and get an insight on who they are and what they do for a living. Many people use this form of “online journal” to relieve some of their stress and to say what’s on there mind, like world issues or about their personal life. As I am writing this blog, I am slowly realizing why people do it. People blog simple because…they want to, whether it’s to get in touch with the outside world or just to get comfortable with their writing techniques. Why people blog and what they choose to write about is simply their business, and if they feel comfortable letting people into their personal life so be it. Posted in Uncategorized |
